ABOUT REBECCA LEWIS
An investor’s perspective on a fast changing industry.
I spent sixteen years investing across emerging markets, then leading the firm behind those decisions - an investment business managing USD 5.5bn at its peak. Over that time I watched passive and systematic strategies take share and AI start to do work analysts once did, and I led our firm through it: closing three funds to protect the core, and bringing AI into research without losing the judgement that made us worth backing. Today I work with individuals, investment teams and firms navigating the same change.
My aim is to create a space to think. So clients can connect the commercial question with the human one: what matters, what we believe, and how we decide when the answer isn’t obvious.

What I bring to the work
Investment judgement
Sixteen years in emerging markets taught me to look beyond the screen: to understand businesses, challenge assumptions and distinguish a sound process from a fortunate outcome. Across more than 100 investment research trips, I learned the value of seeing businesses and markets first-hand. I sat on investment committees for Asia, Africa, Latin America, Global Emerging Markets and Next Generation Impact Investment Funds.
Strategic perspective
My experience includes investing in early-stage businesses in emerging markets and working with founders on investor engagement and strategy as a large minority shareholder. I bring a practical understanding of how businesses build conviction, attract capital and find a clearer direction.
Leading transformation
I worked with the founders through succession and helped shape a six-person partnership. Leading the firm taught me how closely strategy, culture and people are connected, and how much depends on the quality of the conversations between them. I managed a team of 54 across six offices in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe.
